During the Belle Epoque, and if Madeleine LEMAIREs Parisian Salon was one of the most famous one, Prince Edmond DE POLIGNAC welcomed great performers of the day in his renovated atelier, as Charles-Marie WIDOR, Eugene GIGOUT, Louis VIERNE, Gabriel FAURE during Organ Evenings every Tuesday. Comte Robert DE MONTESQUIOU introduced Marcel PROUST and Reynaldo HAHN to POLIGNAC: much of PROUSTs musical education took place in the POLIGNAC Salon. After POLIGNACs death, Princess DE POLIGNAC became an important Musical Patron as well. On Sunday April 6 at 4:00 pm, LE SALON DE MUSIQUES brings La Belle Epoque in Los Angeles: Soprano Hae JI CHANG will be joined by the wondeful PANTOUM TRIO (Tereza STANISLAV Violin, Cecilia TSAN Cello and Steven VANHAUWAERT Piano), to perform Reynaldo HAHN, Benjamin GODARD, Ernest CHAUSSON and Samuel COLERIDGE TAYLOR.
