...During the Flag Raising Ceremony of the LGU employees this morning(August 11, 2014), good news were announced. First, the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar was awarded by the Philippine Statistics Agency(PSA) a National Award, 9th Place in the Medium Category in the performance and delivery of civil registration activities in 2013 out of 1,800+ municipalities in the Philippines. Congratulations to the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar personnel, headed by Mrs. Rosita B. Leabris, and also to the stakeholders who are helping the LGU in implementing activities of civil registration. Second, the LGU of Esperanza and Municipal Health Office were awarded by the Philippine Red Cross of a Blood Services Platinum Award, the highest award given by the agency to municipalities who participate in their activities especially during blood letting/donation. We were able to sponsor a MASS BLOOD DONATION for four (4) consecutive years cumulative total of 618 units equivalent to 278,100 cc of blood from 2011 - 2014. Congratulations to the LGU and to the Municipal Health Office personnel, headed by Dr. Gilson L. Laspiñas and also to the people who donated their blood to save peoples lives. Congratulations also and thank you to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Helen T. Latog, Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Felix L. Ploteña and all the Sangguniang Bayan Members for the wholehearted support in the endeavors of the different departments. The said awards were not for the LGU and implementing offices alone but for all the Esperanzahanons who made these awards possible to achieve by supporting the projects and activities of the local government. We did it once again Esperanzahanons! Abante ESPERANZA!
