During the North American Ice Storm of 1998, hundreds of thousands - TopicsExpress

During the North American Ice Storm of 1998, hundreds of thousands of people in the northeastern US and southeastern Canada (including large portions of Montreal) were left without electric power for weeks in the middle of winter. Surprisingly, only 35 people died as a result of the crisis, but not one of them died from cold or starvation, and only 4 died from physical injury (accidents, falling ice/tree branches). Can you guess what the other 31 died from?
