During the Vietnam War, Martin Luther King called our government - TopicsExpress

During the Vietnam War, Martin Luther King called our government the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today. True then-- and even more so today. Profit & power hungry warmongers are destroying everything we hold dear &L sacred on this planet. I think the late great Mario Savio of the Free Speech Movement at UC Berkeley in 1964 made this clarion call to action at the end of his brilliant speech; There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you cant take part; you cant even passively take part, & youve got to put your bodies upon the gears & upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, & youve got to make it stop. And youve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless youre free, the machine will be prevented from working at all._Mario Savio. IT IS TIME FOR ALL PEOPLE OF CONSCIENCE TO STOP THE MACHINE NOW! WE CAN DO THIS PEOPLE!
