During the colonial era in Africa when European nations scrambled - TopicsExpress

During the colonial era in Africa when European nations scrambled to share African nations among themselves, the French, in order to render those under their jurisdiction easy to control, adopted a system of rule called Divide and rule. This entailed putting the people of a colonised nation at logerheads with each other, causing brother to fight with brother, This, so that they would never be united to fight the coloniser. It was a startegy that worked perfectly. I think the devil is using the same craft in the church of Christ today to weaken and dull the children of God; Pentecostals, catholics, Presbyterians, Seven Day Adventsts, Full Gospel, Jehovah Witness, etc disagreeing and fighting against each other; pastors, prophets, bishops, etc at each others throat; people fighting over bible versions - King Jamers against NIViers, this doctrine against that doctrine... Is Christ divided? 1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:12-13 What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? Ephesians 4:4-5 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism... Therefore, Romans 16:17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.. As for me, I will follow Christ, not a denomination, not a pastor, not a bible version but only Christ for He instructed me in His word; Titus 2:1 But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine...
