During the month of August 2014 the Sac City and Lake View Police Departments worked collaboratively on a narcotics investigation. During the month of August a confidential informant purchased methamphetamine from 33 year old Matthew Wessels at his residence in Sac City. On August 27th a search warrant was executed at 809 North 16th Street in Sac City where Wessels resides. Also residing at the residence were Wessels children who were present while he was selling methamphetamine. The Iowa Department of Human Services was contacted to do an intake assessment. As a result of the investigation Wessels was charged with two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine a class “C” Felony, Child Endangerment a class “D” Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor. Wessels was booked into the Sac County Jail on $20,300 bond. Assisting the Sac City Police Department on the search warrant was the Sac County Sheriffs Department K9 Unit.
