During the past five years studying law, Ive oftentimes questioned the original rationale behind my setting on this course in life, because for the most part, its an exercise in sheer drudgery. However, every once and awhile, something comes across which reminds me why Im doing this stuff. More often than not, it can be found on the fringes of classical jurisprudence, although one might do the latter notion better justice by calling it the interface with other, more hard scientific traditions. This is a prime example of that: a lecture on modern neuroscience vis-à-vis criminal law, sociology and criminology. Definitely worth watching despite it being more extensive than a 20-minute TED-type skimming-the-surface crash course.
