Dylan Koenig Update - Betty Gilley Koenig and I have just returned home from 3 days with Dylan! Chad got to spend 2 nights at home after 15 days @ Parkland Burn ICU. Over the last three days weve seen the occupational & physical therapy intensify to almost a good half a day. Weve seen Dylan dig deep and lift himself out of his bed and shuffle to a chair beside his bed with only minimal assistance. He sat for a good 10 minutes each day. On Saturday he walked with assistance from his bed to his door and back to the bed. He can almost stand straight up. He is using his right hand to feed himself, hold cups and drink from them. He says he wants Niagara Falls poured into his mouth as soon as he gets to have a drink of water!! All tubes have been removed: no respirator, no feeding tube AND hes been moved to a semi-private room on the 6th floor to Step-down burn care. All and all this has truly been an eventful weekend. Each and everyone of you can take so much credit for the progress Dylan has seen. Without your PRAYERS and love I do not think he would have come this far as fast. God has truly shown our family his abundance of healing power over Dylan. We appreciate more than each of you will ever know how these prayers have not only lifted Dylan, but his family.
