Dylan and I were on the way home from Waycross earlier and we came - TopicsExpress

Dylan and I were on the way home from Waycross earlier and we came up on a wreck that had happened maybe a minute before. My first thought was Im in Nursing School! I cant not stop!!! Even if I wouldnt have been in school I still would have stopped. There were no police or ambulances there. Just parts scattered in the road and two messed up vehicles. The people in the other truck were already off the road so I checked on the other vehicle. A girl was still in the driver seat. She couldnt get out because the door was jammed. She had to climb out of the back. She was visibly shaken and upset but she seemed to be ok. I tried my best to get her to do deep breathing exercises (my nursing girls KNOW that technique has been drilled in our heads). I called her boyfriend, her Mom, and her work. They each would have been much more upset if they could have heard her voice at the time. She was taken to the ambulance to be checked out and I promised her Mom that I would stay with her until she could get to her. When her Mom pulled up she repeatedly told me thank you along with her sweet daughter. And when I was leaving two of the police officers told me thank you! I didnt do anything today that anybody else couldnt have done. It was just GODs timing for me to be there. I was on my way back from finishing up things for this upcoming semester. I was already excited to be going back to school and FINALLY finishing up! But after today, even though I didnt do much, Im even more convinced that Nursing is my calling! Those thank yous today meant the world to me! Im sorry that the wreck happened but Im glad that I got to help out. Please keep the people in both vehicles in your prayers because Im sure they are going to be VERY sore and those airbag burns are going to hurt too! But it would have been so much worse without them!!!
