E.mail from a friend Which Christian? I know by writing this, I am exposing myself, knowing that you cannot take back what you spew into the web. I also know that I open up myself to ridicule, and much more. But I also know, that I should write this. Please note the following: I am not a saint, and am not trying to front as one, nor am I trying to be in the spot light. As God states about our Brother and Saviour Jesus Christ, that you should be as Him and not be on street corners babbling, but actively living you’re saving. I don’t really want to do this, but feel I have an obligation. I also refuse to put in any scriptural references, for a reason. Go find out if what I am stating is Biblical, and where it is written for your own self. I keep on looking at where we are as South Africa, and all the words that are flying around of the different leadership benches of our beautiful land, which to me is the land of milk & honey. Did you know that previous estimates put Christianity in SA at 73%. Well that is amazing and absolutely awesome. But that is also a very disturbing figure. It made me to come to the realisation, just as to when I thought that when you speak Afrikaans, you are automatically a Christian that a Christian has become a relative term. Ask yourself, with so many South Africans being Christian, why are we as a land of milk & honey going to the swine to be trodden upon? That should only happen if you try to feed your pearls to the swine, and not to fellow brethren in Christ. I will now give you my observation. It is because too many are living swinely (my own word) in Christian clothing. Most of the time I wonder if people including myself truly understand what it is to mark on an application form, that your religion is Christian. The question that comes to mind is: Am I Gods Christian or someone else’s? What do I mean by that? Simply put, am I putting my own spin on what a Jesus follower should be, look and act like, or am I a true representative of His Word? Now I already know that some are going to say and point to the fact that we are sinful and you are going to sin. I am not pointing to falling back, stumping your toe or as Paul puts it, to be succumb to what is wrong and failing at what is good. No, I am pointing to the fact that you are living your sin, meaning that the fruits you bear are not from the Spirit, but your own, and your own wants and needs. Let’s look at a simple issue such as race. • Black South Africans are when it comes to racism, holy, and white South Africans are the only racist scum in SA, and should accept their filthy being and then reform themselves. • White South Africans are the only ones that do not steal, murder, rape and are free from corruption. • Black South Africans are the only ones that lives in poverty, have HIV and TB, and don’t have Electricity, and white South Africans took ALL the riches of this land for themselves, and did not afford or give away any opportunity to any other South African. • White South Africans are the only ones that are without opportunity in the new era of our country, and black South Africans are the only ones with opportunity. See how easy it is to light that fire inside of you, that “I want to protect and stand up for my people” fire? Please know, that I am racially inclined, and if I am at a venue where there is different races, I will do the “racists” thing and mingle with the white crowed for the most part. The question is; is it normal to do that? Yes, it is called association. And it is not evil; it only becomes evil when you believe you are superior in your race to another. No, we as Christians should know that our Farther knew we are an intolerant species and will want to be nr1. That is why He in His un-understandable and mind-blowing wisdom, instructs us to love everyone. Not just those who you feel like loving. And note that it is not an instruction to tolerate, but to love. So, it is fine to feel protective towards your race, and it is normal to want the best for your family. It is however our responsibility to go beyond ourselves and trump everything that is worldly in our race, ie culture, traditions etc, that is in contradiction to Gods Word, and live our public confession of being Christian. The question is; are you Gods Christian or your own? Are you willing to go through the emotional discomfort and growth to go beyond your own feelings and work towards unity in Christ? If not, then please do not make a mockery of God and publicly announce that you are a Christian. Rather mark the ‘Other’ block at religion, as He does not like two faced people. It is something that we should do, to turn around this country, and tap the abundance of what there is to offer. We should prove the leadership wrong that is counting on our inability to live our Christianity, and create racial tension. And please, it is not just the ANC. They all need votes, and will spew lies and tension to gain power. Our children are suffering and paying the price, the consequences of our lack of true Biblical lives. And remember that we are warned about children in God’s Word! Can we all just please for the sake of our heritage, and future break away from the control of the leadership, and come under control of the guidance and love of the Holy Spirit. We all owe at least that much to Christ. Hate me or not, doesn’t matter. Whether you are white or black, it doesn’t matter. I just hope you will start to at least think for yourself, as I have had to, and not be emotionally manipulated by a few greedy worldly leaders. And to start reading and studying what He wants for you and all of us! PS. This relates to ALL aspects of your life; marriage, children, finances, adhering to the law (on the road and off). You are instructed in God’s Word to do so! Fearfully Gods, Me
