EARLY CELEBRATION - Grade 4 students from Hampton Elementary celebrated International Day today. The groups walked from the school to the Town Square - stopping at Spooners Island where Chris White from the Kings County Museum met them for a walk on heritage. At the Town Square they received a talk from Richard King on volunteerism and enjoyed games. Classes also visited Anne Scott at the Credo statue for a talk on John Peters Humphrey. International Trails Day is an annual celebration of trails to promote trail development, the use of trails and the healthy lifestyle they encourage. It is celebrated each year on the first Saturday in June. This year International Trails Day falls on Saturday, June 7, 2014.
