EARLY MORNING HOLINESS It was just for the morning alone Her make-belief fear of God Was always short lived. Once she finished She would wear on another mask Such as soothes the occasion Perhaps, she was trying To give us an impression Perhaps she loved to cram The prayers she had her colleagues Make in their office fellowship So that she will repeat them here To impress us There was no doubt, That it was all fake She was at it again this morning, Lying straight away, Just 3 minutes after She eloquently led the devotion I was getting used to it But I thought today for once That I should begin to refuse to attach A devout heart to each lofty prayer The cunning woman made, To protect my emotions Someone had earlier said That he just used to attend those devotions To ‘maintain’ He believed that the prayers Could not even pass through The ceiling H-e-y, hey! i LOL. Tell you what; There is another building upstairs i can imagine the prayers Have extra journey to make, To make it To the ceiling He believed that the prayers Could not even pass through The ceiling Because God watches the heart And sees her attitude towards others They didn’t look like she cared a hoot About ‘some’ people She was forced to relate with As I would imagine, That means they (prayers) Couldn’t reach heaven as well It was just a glimpse Of an early morning righteousness, Another mask, well fitted, Wisely worn for ten minutes To lead our impressions astray Dul says ...women will not make it to heaven
