EARLY TUESDAY MORNING ~ ROLL CALL ~ LEWISVILLE, TEXAS IN THE HOUSE ~ WHOS WITH ME??? Good morning everyone! Lewisville, Texas in the house. Dallas Cowboys lost to Washington Redskins 20-17 in OT at home. Cowboys dropped to 6-2! Cowboys are still in 1st in NFC East at 6-2. Its ok! Its just 2nd loss of season for our Cowboys! Its still good! DeMarco Murray though extend his streak to 8 straight games with at least 100 yards rushing. Hes keeps doing great. He had 19 carries for 141 yards rushing. Also, he caught 4 passes from Tony Romo for 80 yards. Thats was not the problem! The problem was that we were facing the Redskins defense and the Redskins defense at times put pressure on Tony Romo blitzing him when it was 3rd down sacking him 5 times. Tony Romo could not overcome it. Tony Romo got hurt, was out for couple of drives in 4th quarter with our back up quarterback Brandon Weeden having 2 great drives with 1st one led to field goal and 2nd one led to touchdown and Tony Romo returned. With Tony Romo returning, Cowboys try to win the game with Tony Romo trying to lead a game winning drive in last 2 minutes of 4th quarter trying to get in field goal range at least but, the Redskins defense pressure Tony Romo causing a intentional grounding that he was called for for a loss of down that sent game into overtime. In overtime, Redskins won the toss to receive ball to start overtime. Our Cowboys defense got a stop forcing a field goal that does not win game with the rule changes in OT. Cowboys got a chance on offense to try to kick a field goal to tie or a touchdown to win but, they had their last chance on 4th down where Tony Romos pass was knocked away. I think Tony Romo sure not had returned. Brandon Weeden who had 2 great drives while Tony Romo was out should of stayed in. He did great for those 2 drives. Despite Tony Romo getting pressure at times getting sacked 5 times, getting hurt and returning, he went 17 of 28 with 209 yards, and a touchdown. Also, he had 1 carry for 1 yard rushing. Our Dallas Cowboys defense kept the game close the whole game despite the former Longhorn quarterback Colt McCoy the Redskins quarterback starting in place of RG leading them great to win the game in his return to his home state going 25 for 30 with 299 yards, a interception passing, he had 7 carries for 16 yards rushing, a rushing touchdown and our offense just could not do anything much against the Redskins defense. Our defense did sack Colt McCoy 2 times but, it was not enough. Lets shake off the loss and get ready for the Cardinals! Happy Tuesday! Have a wonderful & blessed Tuesday! I love you! Big Texas hugs to you!
