EAST COAST LOW UPDATE - 14/10 We will see damaging winds along the coast of around 110km/h with dangerous surf conditions. On average with this system expect falls between 60 to 100mm plus on the south east coast of NSW and moderate falls on the Victorian east coast over the next 24hrs. Some locations will see 150mm+ Northern NSW should see slightly less with 40-80mm possible. Flash Flooding is a real possibility with this ECL and please if it is flooded forget it! 127mm of rainfall was recorded in the 24 hours to 9am at Narooma (14/10/14) With the cold air pool small hail is possible as well as snow about the snow fields. There is even a small 5% chance of seeing some sleet in places like Orange which is extremely rare for this time of year. A trough will generate showers and thunderstorms in eastern QLD.
