EBOLA & AKWA IBOM TEACHERS SALARIES Now that primary and secondary schools are schedule to resume on Sept. 22, and the Akwa Ibom State govt are yet to pay primary schools teachers salaries for almost four (4) months now, how will the teachers give their best to care adequately about these children to avoid being in contact with the spread of Ebola? Employers can only get efficient and productive services from their employees when the welfare of such employees are adequately and promptly taken care of. But in a situation where your employees welfares are ignored, service-delivery will be poor. Despite protest and public outcry from concern citizens on the refusal of Gov. Akpabio to settle these teachers salaries, it felt on deaf ears. Before we start singing praise songs of uncommon transformations, how many of us will be happy to work for four (4) months without payment? Many of us if not all were trained by teachers, then why given teachers this Adolf Hitler treatment? Govt are spreading Millions to market their achievements on radio and Tv stations, claiming that all is well in the state and the masses. Whats the offence of AKS teachers to deserve such heartless treatment? Whats free about the education when the teachers are dying of hunger? Should the teachers also teach free?
