EBOLA. SHOOTING. GANG FIGHTS. POLICE BRUTALITY. DEADLY FOOD. HOMICIDAL PIGEONS. MUSLIMS WITH BEARDS. POISONOUS RAMEN. KITTENS WITH AIDS. LIONS, TIGERS, AND BEARS - OH MY!! Did you guys know theres actually a LOT more good happening in the world, in your city, in your state, AND probably in your circle? Probably not. We are so scared that we inform each other of these highly improbable dangers and by doing so, only increase the ad selling power of the media sources. Did you know violent crime rates in Chicago are trending downward since the mid 90s? That statistically, Chicago is safer now than is has been since the 70s? There are problems, sure. But sharing videos of the violence isnt helping. Its only making the violence drug more addictive. Stop spreading fear. (Half of it contains false information.) Start sharing resolutions and positivity. Eventually, media sources will have to do the same in order to generate their ad revenue.
