ECCLESIASTES 10:1 says that a single dead fly can cause bad smell even to the costliest perfume. This verse is an exhortation for us to guard our actuations and words. WE need to observe proper decorum and demeanor in all our actions as a single fumble can spell disaster to our good reputation which entails many years to establish. However, just a single mistake can destroy it in much the same way as just a single matchstick can burn the whole forest. Bad temper is one factor that destroys. No matter how righteous or justified ones indignation is, if it brings forth curses and invectives, such anger can topple a person down especially if he or she is a public figure.
