EDM Sauce review on Fractal Beach B-Sides by Orphic; Orphic’s latest album “Fractal Beach B Sides” was just released this past Monday and it’s a diverse, special creation of disco-infused, mid tempo, glitch funk. The first track is a catchy chill jam with soul, “Mycelium Munchies.” The second is more danceable, an upbeat disco-jam called “Electric Octopus Tea Party.” Additionally, Orphic has EVeryman (Evan Shafran) provide a great rap verse for “Om Hop Rock” which makes his production stand out even more. For more diversity and feels, check out “Continental Breakfast” featuring FunkHay. It’s a melody that stays true to the underwater theme of octopus life but is unpredictable and defines future funk. Orphic is among a limited group of glitch hop producers like OPIUO who uses water sounds and such in his jams. Fractal Beach “B Sides” includes a VIP mix of “Fractal Beach” off the first album which is a bit quicker tempo and a very solid re-work.
