EDUCATION WITHOUT GOD The wicked through the pride of his countenance will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. (Psalm 10:4) The Bible predicts that towards the end of the age, there would be mass movement of people in various parts of the world and knowledge would increase (Daniel 12:4b). Today, apart from people travelling in search of jobs and businesses, many are also engaging in cultural and education tourism, with massive investment in scientific, technological and socio-economic researches. This has also led to advancement in knowledge in the sciences, arts and engineering, among others. Multitudes are however forsaking God as they gain secular knowledge. Youths think they can do without God if He exists at all. However, The atheist has no hope, says J. F. Clarke. The terrible moral state of the world today is due to the removal of the Bible from the classroom. Education without religion, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a mere clever devil, says C. S. Lewis. Children and youths are educated in the mind and not in the heart. Hence out of school, they produce or enjoy immoral videos, music, literatures and technological devices that pollute their lives. Only total righteousness and the word of God can preserve Christians today. Challenge: Let Jesus come into your heart. Prayer: Oh God, I commit myself to you afresh.
