EFFECTS OF PDP CRISIS AND THE ROLE OF CONCERN CITIZENS. The effects of the Pdp crisis rocking the nation is worth considering, It is a distraction to good governance and national development. The politicians are busy with the task of ensuring that their political interests prevail , they are pertinacious in their demands, as such, there is a massive recruitment of sycophantic supporters, misappropriation of developmental funds while the subordinating politicians are busy siphoning and looting government money because of the fear of discontinuity in power. Many government projects are lingered and put to a hold because of the delay in the release of funds to the contractors. Also, the salaries of workers of auxiliary government agencies are witheld because of the crisis. In another development , the preponderance of uproarious noise in our environment arising from arguments with respect to the crisis constitutes a major source of noise pollution in the environment. In contrast, if the factional groups do not drop their swords and return to status quo, the crisis will be a welcome development, since it will bring about a massive participation of completely new people in the affairs of Government, as the factional group recruits their excos & candidates all over the nation. What should be the role of concern citizens? Summarily, concern citizens should come up with suggestions and ways of tackling the problem and restoring peace and order. They should refuse any activity like rally and demostration capable of aggravating or fueling the crisis.
