Cone eggs can sometimes be found and resemble slices of bread, laid in rows. The textile cone produces proteins resembling white flower petals and deposits 50 to over several hundred eggs in each packet, which will incubate several weeks before the larvae hatch out drifting in the water column to later settle on the reefs beginning their life as an amazing predator.
