From the time I saw her curled up, a tiny speck in her kennel, until she stepped daintily out, and stopped, frozen in fear, she had me wrapped around her little paw. I had to pick her up to carry her out of the building as she is paralyzed with fear at all the strange smells, barking dogs and constant movement of her new environment. Once outside she stopped to get her bearings and then walked gently with me. Going as soon as we were out indicates shes likely house-trained. Egypt is a stunning brindle girl, teeny tiny in her gleaming coat, her weight is perfect with her big rabbit ears framing a petite and gentle face. Her leash manners are good and as other dogs approach she shows no reaction. She was a perfect model for some pictures, tilting her head as I made kissy noises at her, accepting her reward treats and then spitting them out in such a ladylike way when she decided they werent to her liking! Off leash in the backyard she prefers to stay by my side, her new friend, rather than chase a ball or explore the pen. Egypt is a young girl with a lifetime of love to give to her new person or family. She will need some time to warm up and trust. I look forward to spending time with her again, but mostly I look forward to a happily wagging tail as she leaves for her happily forever after. She needs a sensitive person willing to give her the time she needs to adjust. The rewards will be endless.
