For more information, visit the companys website at ge Posted Position Title: EID, GGO Security Operations Intern Career Level: CI Function: Services Function Segment: Leadership Programs Location: Saudi Arabia U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: City: Riyadh Postal Code: Relocation Assistance: No Role Summary/Purpose: The GE Internship Program for Security Operations Co-coordinator is an investment in young talents where GE trains students who meet the required criteria to perform their internship program in a corporate function, Security Crisis Management. Essential Responsibilities: Reporting to Country SCM Manager / Director or an assigned designate. As the Co-coordinator of Security & Crisis Management (SCM), MENAT you will be tasked with the administration and coordination of safety and security of existing GE facilities in your assigned region. You will provide advice, guidance and general support to local and district site leads on all aspects of GE Security requirements. In addition you will co-ordinate and administrate the local delivery of SCM regional policy through the site contacts network. Program duration is 6 months. The program will develop the general skills of the intern with on the job knowledge and experience. During the program GE will provide assignments, projects & tasks that are related Security and crisis management where he/she can develop his/her Leadership Capabilities, communication skills and introduce him to the work environment. Qualifications/Requirements: Currently studying towards a Recognized degree - B.Com Business, Marketing or Management / Human Resources / Security. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with digital online databases Good communicator: Fluent in English and Arabic (essential) – spoken and written. High achiever / self-motivated / results driven. Demonstrated ability to deliver against measurable goals. Can work in a team as well as an individual. Having the ability to work with different nationalities, age groups and genders. Ability to work unsupervised and to be able to manage time. ( Good time management ) Ability to organize and focus teams, tasks and requests and manage sites/teams / work groups remotely. Assist to rive and support implementation of all corporate SCM programs. Through the Gensuite tool Measure and report on SCM tasks specified in the Compliance Calendars, within specified time-frames: reporting and identifying un-mitigated risks and plan with the Managers mitigation strategy and escalate finding(s) for remedy. Co-ordinate implementation of induction programs for local employees and contractors/service companies in basic SCM awareness and GE/local rules, as appropriate and where needed. Utilize digital tools to co-ordinate and administer SCM programs and co-ordinate new SCM initiatives. Liaise and track, to support EHS / SCM Manager for all construction, fit-outs, and contractor-related projects. Assist in presenting training when required and if requested. Support and administrate security assessments. Track that Business Continuity & Crisis Management training and plans are current and up-to-date. Administrate and manage the security staff at your allocated site (s). Ensure that you have been issued a Security Site Procedure Manual for your site and that Security Officers follow and training against this manual. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics: Good organizational, project management and analytical skills. Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and presentation skills with ability to both communicate Needs to be confident and display enthusiasm and passion for Security. Must have a ‘can-do’ attitude. (I.e. Problem solving skills and ability to think out the box.)
