The new crescent for the Islamic lunar month of Shawwal 1435 AH has been sighted in 5 different areas of the Gauteng province in South Africa on the eve of 29 Ramadan 1435 AH (27 July 2014 CE). Masjid al-Huda, after confirmation of the sightings, has declared the 1st of Shawwal 1435 to correspond with Monday, July 28th, 2014. *The Eid Salah will commence promptly at 9:30am at the Humboldt Park (3000 S. Howell Ave.), inshaAllah. *There will be an earlier prayer held at the ISM at 7:30am sharp! *In the event of rain, there will be three prayer services at the ISM (7:30 am, 9:00 am and 10:30 am). *There will NO Eid salah at Masjid al-Huda Please take advantage of these final moments of Ramadan by continuing to make dua for the community and the Ummah.
