ELECTION EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:BRAMPTON: FAQs When will you be recruiting? Applications for working the 2014 Municipal Election will be accepted in early spring. What positions are you recruiting for? There are several positions including: Location Supervisor, Deputy Returning Officer, Revisions Officer, Election Assistant, and Tabulator Attendant. What’s the pay? Compensation depends on the position you are hired for. A full listing of positions with rates of pay will be posted on the site early spring. Are there any age restrictions to working the election? Location Supervisors and Deputy Returning Officers must be 18 years of age or older. How do I apply to work? Applications will be accepted online at the Brampton Votes 2014 website: brampton.ca/bramptonvotes. Applications can also be made by mail, in person, or by fax at (905) 874.5950. Who is the contact person for recruiting? Michelle Yearwood is the Recruitment Coordinator for the 2014 Municipal Election. She can be contacted at 905.874.5948 or at [email protected]. What qualifications do I need to work in the election? Excellent customer service and organizational skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work under pressure. Will training be provided? Yes, training is provided and is mandatory to work in the election. What are the hours I need to work on Voting Day? You are required to work the full day. The day starts at 8:30 am with polls closing at 8:00 pm. Finish time will depend on location closing procedures.
