PENROSE UPDATE: Following yesterdays posts, Joe also phoned the inquiry offices yesterday, and this is what he reported afterwards: There is nothing new from the Penrose team since he last spoke with Maria McCann in September and definitely no new delay. The Warning Letter process is still ongoing, by which they mean the letters have all gone out and they are now dealing with the fallout from that, whether it be personal or legal challenges to notification. They have made significant progress over the last month but there is still much to address - overall the Warning Letter process is in the final stages. They do not anticipate the process becoming open-ended because of legal challenges. A publication date is closer to their original expectation rather than running into another year (subject to continued progress); This is as much as can be divulged. Once complete they will be able to forecast and announce a publication date, taking into account the printing and distribution logistics. So, nothing new to get overly upset about, but the process does have to take its natural course and deal with any issues stemming from the Warning Letter process, through to a natural conclusion - in case the result requires an alteration to the report (which equally it may not). In conclusion, there has been no change. As soon as the Warning Letters process is complete the report will be printed and published.
