“EMMA’S EMERGENCY” She seems the picture of perfect pug health, plump and sassy, posed in typical pug fashion with just a hint of pink, pug tongue. And yet, appearances can be deceiving. What began shortly after Emma’s arrival in her foster home as an extended period of squatting led to a morning visit to the Creekside Pet Care Center in Keller, TX. The vet’s diagnosis: urinary calculi or bladder stones packing Emma’s small bladder. She underwent immediate emergency surgery. The “baby” of an adoring, adoptive couple, Emma had only just been surrendered to us because the deteriorating health of the husband prevented them from providing their precious pug with the loving care she had always known. And so, once Emma is well again, she will be given a second chance at a new life in a new and equally loving, adoptive home. But her operation and aftercare will be expensive. And because Dallas Fort Worth Pug Rescue is a non-profit corporation, we rely solely on donations to sustain us. Our greatest annual expenses are our veterinary bills, and so we are again appealing to the community to help us to pay for “Emma’s Emergency” by making a contribution towards her care.
