EMPLOYMENT OPPERTUNITY: Sales Representative: Brief description of job purpose: To call regularly on designated customer outlets to sell the Companys products within the Western Cape Region- Cape town, West coast, Hermanus. To ensure the Companys principle products achieve the most prominent display areas and the maximum number of facings and to meet set sales targets and goals. Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: Experience: At least 3 years experience within a sales\target driven enviroment. Knowledge: Good understanding of entrepreneurial and commercial objectives Knowledge of sale strategies and concepts Good understanding of developing sales reports Skills: Good decision making skills Excellent people skills Good verbal and written communication skills Good analitical skills Good planning and orginasational skills Good research skills Networking skills Time management Competencies: Ability to adapt and respond to change Determination to meet personal goals and objectives Deliver results and meet customer expectations Relationship building Creative thinking and problem solving Self-motivated Show iniative Ability to negotiate Persuasive KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE: 1-SALES: Sell the companies products to all customers within set geographic boundaries Ensure maximum number of product lines are sold Focus on products with higher profit margins 2-SALES PROCEDURES: Follow companies sales procedures during calls Ensure customers are not over or under stocked 3-SALES OPPERTUNITIES: Maximize sales oppertunities during special promotions Support oppertunities with point of sale material 4-SALES TARGETS: Ensure monthly sales targets, new accounts targets and key product targets, are achieved MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE: 1- Products Ensure company products have optimum shelf positions Ensure maximum of facings and percentage share of shelf space 2-STOCK: Make sure there is sufficient stock available to have a maximum display of products Prevent the competitors from taking over the Companys percentage share of shelf space Regularly inspect the condition of the products, ensuring they are clean, undamaged and withing their shelf life Ensure correct stock rotation 3-SUPPORT: Provide on-the-job support, guidance and training to shop merchandisers and in-store staff, employed by the customer Ensure merchandisers meet the customers and the companies requirements Maintain good relations between in-store staff and the Company Assist customers with delivery difficulties Assist customers to complete, and changes in credit facilities appication forms Collect all outstanding debts 4-Equipment and material: Use all display equipment and material Ensure display areas are prepared Place equipment in most appropriate areas 5-Call on customers: Call on customers accordingly to approved call cycle Identify new distribution oppertunities Increase the number of active accounts 6-RECORD KEEPING Maintain records of new customers, deleted of customers and changes to call cycles to ensure cost effective coverage of territory 7-REPORTING: Report to sales manager on matters such as: Trends Promotions Facing reports Customer reactions and complaints Strike reports Competitor activity Trade complaints Consumer complaints Attend sales meetings Submit a monthly report to the sales manager PLS FOREWARD YOUR CV WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPH TO [email protected]
