Full/Part Time: Part-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular FLSA Status: Exempt Organizational Group: Flint Hlth Prof Stud Department: Flint Physical Therapy Posting Begin/End Date: 7/03/2013 – 10/31/2013 Career Interest: LEO - Lecturers Responsibilities* The LEO faculty member for PTP564 Clinical Observation Skills and Communication will be responsible for conducting lectures for this course and assessing student performance. The LEO faculty member will prepare lectures and create and administer exams and written assignments and collaborate with the Associate Director for Clinical Education relative to three clinical visits and travel to clinical sites. Required Qualifications* Estimated salary for position is $3,000 for teaching one class. The Physical Therapy Department at the University of Michigan-Flint is seeking applications for LEO Lecturer for Fall 2013 to teach PTP564 Clinical Observation Skills and Communication. 1. Graduate of a CAPTE accredited (or its equivalent) professional PT program. 2. Currently licensed as a physical therapist in the State of Michigan or eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan. 3. One or more years of clinical experience in settings or patient populations including clinical practice, basic examination techniques, beginning documentation and professional behaviors. 4. Member of APTA preferred. NOTE: This position is subject to the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employees Organization (LEO) AFT/MFT and SRP Local 6244, AFL-CIO.
