EMPTY DAYS (AltrOck Productions, 2013) youtube/watch?v=wfSRePp5YuQ altrock.highsite.it/?wpsc-product=empty-days https://facebook/FrancescoZagoMusician?ref=hl A song from Empty Days cd (Altrock, 2013). Music by Francesco Zago lyrics from a poem by S. Heaney. Visit altrock.highsite.it/?wpsc-product=empty-days. Photos taken during Empty Tour (Sept-Oct 2013), by Danilo Sala, Massimo Villani, Alessandro Achilli, Veronica Teresa Baffi, Lutz Diehl, Monika Baus. Photos of water and road taken somewhere in Ireland by Francesco Zago; photos of water of lake water and Switzerland sunset by Elaine Di Falco. 7 canzoni, 7 brani strumentali. 7 vocal melodies hanging on a delicate acoustic texture, and 7 brief abstract scenes. With the collaboration of various Yugens members, Francesco Zago focuses on song form and lyrics, building around Elaine Di Falcos unique voice a sonic thread made with acoustic and electric guitars, piano (Maurizio Fasoli), vibes (Jacopo Costa) percussions (Giuseppe Olivini) and thin layers of electronics (Paolo Botta, Pat Moonchy). Two famous pieces by John Dowland complete the cd, reminding the distant but crucial legacy of English songs from XVII century. A delicate collection, sometimes dark and forlorn, with an extreme attention to timbrical and dynamical nuances and musical breath. The cd is embellished by Salvatore Garaus cover, painter and historical drummer from Stormy Six. Paolo «Ske» Botta, keyboards Jacopo Costa, vibes Elaine Di Falco, vocals Maurizio Fasoli, piano Bianca Fervidi, cello Pat Moonchy, electric zen garden Rachel OBrien, vocals Giuseppe A. Olivini, percussion Francesco Zago, guitars, mellotron, bass
