#ENBA - The Orlando Summer League Day 4 Recap We know most of you cannot watch these games so we try to give you a quick scouting report. Please take the time to read at least your team, our analysts are working in the middle of the night to watch these games for you guys. Like, Tag, Share!! Utah 98-69 Brooklyn Standouts: Jeremy Evans (UTA) 15p, 9r, 2s; Chris Wright (BKN) 20p, 2a. #Jazz: - Trey Burke not starting, not playing in fact. Probably better for him as he has not really shown up this week. - Lots of substitutions in the first quarter, looks to be a blowout already anyway, so nice decision to get everyone some PT to see how everyone goes. - Alec Burks continuing to punish defenders by getting to the rim; gets fouled a lot. - Jeremy Evans was really active today, pushing the floor, making great cuts and was rewarded for them. Nice alley-oop dunks for him. - Mahalbasic did really well for his limited minutes. Hadn’t really taken much notice of him, if he had played in previous games, but really gave it a good crack out there pulled down some boards, some great passes and a few blocks as well. Didn’t see him hit a shot but that’s ok. #Nets: - Not many players did much in the first quarter. I guess that’s what happens when you score 10 points as a team. Hopefully they pick this game up because otherwise it’s going to be a long, boring night. - Chris Wright starts to get hot, he’s gotta keep a handle on the ball though, stop turning it over. - Taylor not doing what he’s been doing all week, getting to the rim and finding contact. There’s a reason why he’s averaging the most points per game in the SL. It’s not happening today. - Bad passing all round, no one’s finding open players for looks, the ball is scrapping around the floor on an offensive set, doesn’t look crisp at all. - Plumlee struggled today, seems like everyone needed a rest, no one had it in them. OKC 74-62 Philadelphia Standouts: Jeremy Lamb (OKC) 32p, 4r; Arsalan Kazemi (PHI) 6p, 9r, 3a. #Thunder: - Reggie Jackson/Daniel Orton DNP. - Yesterday it was Jackson who led the team, now today Lamb steps up to the plate. What is OKC trying to do, win each game with one player? - Downside to Lamb’s big night was that he too was trying to hog the ball (similar to Wright in the previous game) and he had 8 turnovers. - Steven Adams was the other plus, found his way into the paint, got some seals on his opponent and went to work. Ended up with around 12 points and a handful of boards. - OKC still undefeated this week (4-0) #Sixers: - Kazemi didn’t miss from the field in his thirty minutes, only if it was three shots. He also found his way to pull down about ten rebounds which was surprising up against tall timber. - MCW was disappointing again, worked hard for what he got which is a plus. However he’s got to learn that jump shot won’t go down unless you’re working on it. It’s going to let him down all season. Sorry pal. 3-16FG each game won’t cut it. Found his way back into turning the ball over, however did grab a few boards and dish some dimes, so a plus at least. - Team shot the ball badly as a whole over the first few quarters, and it didn’t improve. - Brock Motum didn’t play (for the Aussies). Boston 78-85 Houston Standouts: Kelly Olynyk (BOS) 19p, 10r; Vander Blue (HOU) 16p 6r. #Celtics: - Was happy these two teams were playing last because they have been two of the more enjoyable teams to watch so I knew that staying awake wasn’t a problem. - Olynyk was at it again, 19 and 10 from memory, however he fouled too much today and had way too much confidence at times thinking he was playing point guard and turned it over too much as well. Just has to settle down a bit, come back down to earth for a while. - Pressey impressed again (same players doing it all the time), had a ton of assists, helps when you have knock down shooters on your team. - Tony Mitchell was the disappointment today. Couldn’t really get it going at all, and I think he was ready for a break anyway. Tough schedule this league. Shot was ugly today. #Rockets: - Terrence Jones did the usual, pushed to the cup, found contact. Then knew he had his defender guessing and gave him tons of space to knock down shots. - Vander Blue was the breakout of the day, really showing his true colours and what he brings to the table. Found an array of scoring moves and really put on a display in the final game. - Could have shot better, but his selection of shots weren’t too far off the track. Got a few rebounds for a little guy as well. - Both teams shot poorly in the end. - Houston still undefeated through the week (3-0)
