END OF THE YEAR SPEECH Whenever I approach a new year, I always - TopicsExpress

END OF THE YEAR SPEECH Whenever I approach a new year, I always evaluate the outgoing year. Well, a new year starts for me, the first day of next month. And one of those things I am evaluating, is my relationship with people, both on and off the social networks. Let me start by saying that I have searched my heart and have decided to FORGIVE EVERYONE whatever pain or hurt they must have caused me in the ending year. Here is my hand of brotherhood if youll take it. I am also humbly asking that EVERYONE that I have offended in one way or the other FORGIVE ME. While my action may be deliberate, it was not taken as an attack on an enemy. I am SORRY for any hurt I might have caused. I dont mind you telling me what I have done wrong, so I may specially apologise and make amends. PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGY. One of the best things that happened to me this year is facebook. I have learnt one way or the other from ALL my active friends. If my mental capacity has increased (and it sure has), it is because, I have YOU on my friend list. To all those weve had one reason or the other to disagree, I must say I wouldnt have wished it otherwise, for disagreements sometimes is the gateway to greater friendship. Thanks for the opportunities to disagree to agree. But if there is anyone who felt bad in anyway, due to a social media fracas with me, I am tendering my apology again. It wasnt meant to make an enemy. To all those who keep reading my posts, I say thank you. I couldnt have kept writing, if you were not READING. Just having ONE PERSON telling me I am reading you, is all I need to write the next article. Thank you. Thank you. To all those who cared enough to get personal, through Calls, SMS, Whats app chats, FB inbox, BBM; I must say I appreciate you. For asking questions when you observe things, I am grateful. For respecting my opinion when I say no, my admiration of you grow more. And lastly to those whom we have gone beyond the social media space and formed a personal, physical relationship, I am very happy to know you. Especially to my Lagos based friends. Thanks bro for opening your home to me to sleep over. For the good food, opportunity to argue, the warmth of sharing your bed. For the opportunity to take my fill of your library and for making good your promise (keeping a promise is something I so much cherish in a man). Also to you bro, for taking care of me as a father, for rendering your professional services and refusing a pay (lemme tell you what that decision did to me: it was at a time I felt I was giving too much to people and getting nothing in return. Your action gave me hope that I can keep doing good for Ill still reap it somewhere someday). For dedicating the whole day to taking me about, just to make sure I am okay. The warmth of your companionship, the simplicity of your person, the depth of your wisdom are things I cannot easily forget sir. To say that I am humbled is an understatement. And to you bro, showing entusiasm at the news of my coming. Showing great understanding when we discuss sensitive issue(s). And for always watching my back, thanks, thanks. And to my brother with the wonderful caller tune, thanks for rising to the occasion when needed. I felt so much love the way, the referral related to me. Thanks a lot bro. And to my brother that expects me to be taller than I am, I must say, you are one of those I always watch out for on FB. Keep up the excellent job. I cannot end this without reiterating my admiration of you ITT. Go for gold bro. To all that I didnt mention specifically, I want to assure you, you are appreciated. To everyone, thanks for being part of this year. Love you. God bless. COMPASS™(AFOLABI)
