ENRIQUE IS INTERVIEWED ON A TV SHOW ON RITMOSON LATINO CHANNEL, MEXICO CITY, OCTOBER 2013. PART 2 youtube/watch?v=1GWFgFGMRTM In the SECOND PART of this interview Enrique talks about his joking manners and his atypical attitude towards signing autographs, which is atypical in a fantastic sense, since there are no other artists like Enrique who overwhelm their fans with so much warmth and love when they come up to him for an autograph. When it comes down to the subject that he’s a real joker and is keen on making jokes in interviews, press conferences and inother occasions, Enrique comments that lots of times he puts such a serious face when cracking some joke that lots of people end up believing him. Giving an example he remembers that he sometimes played a prank on his fans coming up to him at the airport to ask for his autograph. He tells them that he doesn’t do autographs nor photographs nor anything of the kind on Tuesdays and consequently, they get startled in some way and dash off disappointed and then Enrique would feel sorry that it was too late to go after them to tell them that he was just joking. This is something Ive known since I became his fan, but nevertheless I felt deeply touched when I heard Enrique say that he doesn’t mind being mobbed by his fans. It doesn’t bother him at all when fans approach him for an autograph, except when he’s eating, but even then it doesn’t bother him that much and he still signs happily. When nobody comes up to him for a hug or autograph, then he would feel really bothered. Enrique is convinced that one of the fundamental factors which are needed for his career to last is to be surrounded by people he can trust and who love him, protect him and always tell him the truth. He needs to be surrounded by people who keep him grounded and instead of saying every time that everything is great and perfect, have the guts to tell him that what he did was not that good. He adds that artists aren’t paid to perform but rather for the psychological roller coaster they go through. One day you’re hot and everyone loves you and the other day they dont care that much about you anymore and those changes affect you psychologically, says Enrique.
