EPC 2013 video on YouTube: youtu.be/VoYUWj64I88 EPC 2013, as the third official conference, responded to the expanded HCD mandate of the E-HCD&KG by refocusing its content to create a major energy integrated conference which catered for both the Nuclear and Renewable Energy Sectors and proved to be a massive success by enhancing the impact that the E-HCD&KG is making in the creation of enabling environments for developing young researchers and scientists within for the energy sector. The conference also took on an international dimension through the participation of international higher education, research institutions and industry that has an interest in the energy sector. The success of the conference was seen through an increased participation of more than 360 delegates from a cross-section of energy sector organisations, including 140 students, more than 85 researchers from South Africa, Kenya and as far afield as Beijing, China, more than 600 Grade 10 learners from schools within the Western Cape Province and exhibitions profiling 12 organisations working within the energy sector.
