ERS is currently seeking Collections Specialists to join our growing corporation! The Collections Specialist performs all steps required to collect on delinquent student loans for ERS clients. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Contact consumers by telephone to resolve delinquent student loans 2. Describe resolution options and benefits to consumers, negotiating best possible arrangement 3. Receive and respond to collection related inquiries in a prompt and professional manner. 4. Perform skip tracing activities to obtain location information (home and employment phone numbers) for reaching consumers 5. Maintain an expert knowledge of collection specialist job duties, requirements and abilities 6. Comply with all policies, procedures, and relevant federal/state laws and regulations including Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). 7. Ensure proper system notation for all activity on accounts. 8. Maintain effective schedule ensuring prime time, evening and weekend hours are completed. 9. Attend all training sessions and meetings as required by management. 10. Maintain a professional work environment at all times. 11. Meet a minimum number of calls and or work a minimum number of accounts per day. Required Skills Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment Ability to multi-task and work as a team player Experience Prior collection industry experience a plus but will train the right candidate Education High School Diploma or equivalent ERS will ONLY review applications that have been submitted via ersinc.
