ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Manages the prospecting, selection, and contracting of independent contractors dedicated to providing service and circulation growth results within the contractual relationship. 2. Exhibits excellent understanding of and ensures compliance with the terms and conditions of the Times independent contractor contract and relationship including daily interaction with vendors, staffers and customers. 3. Executes all administrative documentation, tracking, reporting and financial procedures pertaining to independent contractor fees and charges. 4. Active collaboration on the development and management of a Zone expense budget. 5. Manages the development and maintenance of accurate subscriber information and distribution lists. 6. Actively contributes to the overall success of Zone operations by providing leadership in a team-centric environment. 7. Oversees and assists with the delivery center function including opening and closing processes, collaborating with Product Coordinators to accurately distribute product while honoring ad zone integrity. Ensures that management is provided with a fully comprehensive D.C. Nightly Operations report with recap of the night’s events. 8. Interpret information and provide analysis to achieve improved delivery efficiencies in Delivery List sequencing and accuracy. 9. Hires, trains, coaches, performance management and provides supervision to Product Coordinators and Delivery Center Assistants in the implementation of their daily responsibilities. 10. Enforces all Delivery Center Requirements 11. Writes and executes performance reviews for D.C. Assistants and Product Coordinators, and may be consulted for feedback for the performance reviews of Field Assistants. 12. Ensures all deliveries on open delivery areas and/or re-deliveries are completed with a high level of customer service as measured by complaint per thousand goals. 13. Understands and verifies the Redelivery website and service dispatch system is accurately and effectively utilized to guarantee optimum recovery efforts to subscribers. 14. Positive interaction with subscribers in resolving service request or incidents in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. 15. Partners with HR and other resources as needed for appropriate handling of issues and policy interpretation
