ETN ACTORS & MODELS AGENCY. ------------------------------------------------- This post is to help you guys as I see plenty comments from unqualified Artistes as well as Agencies Here are the Dos and Donts in the Industry- Dos- 1: Find a reputable Casting Agency and register ( there are plenty out there BUT do your homework first! ) 2: GET A TAX NUMBER!!!! If you dont want to do this, then STOP WASTING YOUR AND OTHER PEOPLES TIME!! 3: Be patient as this is a very long road and NOTHING comes quickly in this industry 4: Start with watching TV Commercials and see what the industry is looking for via means of different looks 5: Create your own brand ( this is your look that Im talking about ) and STICK TO IT!!! Example- You dont see Coca-Cola changing their brand every 6 months, do you? 6: Endeavour to get Set Experience This means, do anything to get onto a production set ( background extras etc ) Experience is EVERYTHING! 7: Attend ALL Auditions !! If you really want this, then you need to go to EVERY Casting Call!!! The more you go to the better your chances are!! Dont - 1: Expect that sitting on Facebook will land you a JOB!! INCORRECT!! 2: Think that if you freelance, you will land up with the ultimate acting job 3: Get caught up in the absolute crap that is posted on certain Social Media Platforms 4: DONT take anyone seriously whos grammar and spelling is that of a 10 year old!!! 5: Think that you are entitled for a fast track just because you have done an Acting Course or two Guys, this is just part one of Acting/Agency.Artistes post that im going to make and if you are wondering, who am I? Let me tell you... Over the last 5 years I have casted over 10 000 calls from TVCS through to Adam Sandler Hollywood Production - Blended. I have been involved in 4 x Hollywood Feature Films and well as over 100 TVC Productions. Please keep a positive mind and be clever about the way you approach this Industry!
