EU Association Agreements signed: Economic improvements possible for Moldova and Ukraine? The ink is barely dry on key political agreements signed between Moldova and the EU, and Ukraine and the EU. Neither agreement is EU membership, but rather a pathway towards it. More financial aid can now be given in the form of loans to both countries. We hope that both will benefit, but of course improvements for the ordinary people take a long time to be realised.
