EVENT: TRACK: LENGTH: DATE: TV: RADIO: STP 300 (200 laps / 300 miles) Chicagoland Speedway 1.5 - mile tri - oval Sunday, July 21, 2013 ESPN (Coverage begins at 2:30 p.m. EST) MRN (2:30 p.m. EST) “The past two weeks have been frustrating for our Speedco team. At Daytona and Loudon we ran well and in the top five. We’ve just been unable to put an entire race together and have it play out like we need to. Top - 10’s are good, but when you run top - three and top - five all day, it makes them difficult to accept. I won’t say I don’t think about the points. It’s just that right now our main focus is getting back to maintain- ing positions in the closing laps and capitalizing on opportunities. If we can do that, the points will take care of itself.” “It’s been a great week for me. Winning at Eldora is a dream for any dirt racer, and especially for me. I’m still thrilled but now it’s time to focus on climbing back in the Great Clips Chevy at Chicago. “Some of my best races this year have come at speed- ways, so I’m looking forward to getting on the track. It should be an interesting field too, with most of the Cup drivers sitting this one out. I know the guys will bring a strong car like they do every week, so we’re going to work for a strong run and a top - five finish.” SMITH AT CHICAGO (NNS) Starts 3 Wins 0 Top 5s 0 Top 10s 0 Poles 0 Laps Led 0 Avg.
