Pay bar and snacks available. The next film is the classic A Sunday In Hell. Brian Robinson will be coming along to take part in a Q&A session before the film on his experiences of riding Paris-Roubaix. He rode it in 1958, the same year he won his first stage of the Tour, along with some of the cycling greats of the era (Bobet and Anquetil to name just a couple ). The sessions are aimed at local residents and organisations who are setting up temporary campsites and car parks to advise them about how to do so safely. If anyone would like advice and information they can drop in to the library on these dates, no appointment necessary. The paintings feature 7 times World Champion Beryl Burton and first Briton to complete the Tour de France Brian Robinson and were delighted that daughter Denise Burton Cole, husband Charlie Burton and Brian Robinson will all be in attendance. Cards featuring the windows will be available for purchase This will be followed by a reception at The Dower House. Organised by Renaissance Knaresborough. TUESDAY 06 MAY On Your Bike Knaresborough Library, Market Place, Knaresborough Starts at: 06 May, 2014 to 03 Jun, 2014 (all-day) Knaresborough library will be hosting an exhibition called ‘On Your Bike’. The exhibition has been developed by Harrogate Borough Council’s Dept of Museums and Arts and will be based on extracts from oral history interviews recorded with members of local cycling groups/local cyclists. Visitors will be able to select extracts to listen to at the listening station in the exhibition. There will also be 3/4 exhibition panels, displaying images and information about cycling in, and cyclists from, the Harrogate district from the Victorian era to the present day. Volunteers from the local history group at Knaresborough Library have supplied some of the visual items relating to Knaresborough for the exhibition and will be displaying these in the library from 3rd June to 6th July.”
