June 11: There’s Some’n Different! Amaziah’s son Uzziah is a fine king indeed. Having taken the reins of the reign at a tender 16 years, he grew strong and was very wise. Great, until SURPRISE! “When he was strong, he grew proud, to his destruction.” (2 Chronicles 26:16) We could have told him that. And so it goes in the chronicles. John speaks of those walking in truth, and we read today that most treasured Psalm 103. Bless the Lord, O my soul! Good night.
