I am SO very irritated. On our discharge papers it says to call for outpatient therapy for Alyssa and the physical therapist at the hospital highly recommended it! So, Chris calls today they tell him the first available appt is Dec 23rd! Seriously???? I mean do they really think that is going to help her. I am learning that you have to fight for yourself to get decent healthcare today. IT is very frustrating. I am feeling guilty about going to the hospital in Concord at the time I felt like I was doing everything right and I trusted that it was just a hip and neck strain then the orthopedist did not think it was anything either! Pediatrician said nothing they could do for her neurologist said take her to Brenners ER so that was the fourth place we went to before she was diagnosed correctly! So let me know if anyone has recommendations for outpatient therapy I am kind of wishing we were just sent to Charlotte for inpatient rehab I think Alyssa could still qualify since she does not have feeling in her right leg still weakness in right hand, in pain constantly!! She sleeps in a recliner chair!!! She cant sleep in her bed yet but we are going to be positive her injuries could of been worse. I AM thankful she can walk!!!
