EVENTS AROUND THE BAY My Weekly Column 1/15/2015: SF 49ERS INTRODUCE JIM TOMSULA, THEIR NEW HEAD COACH Now that you all have read this morning major Bay Area newspapers front page coverage related to the 1/15 press event at Levis stadium where the owner Jed York and General Manager Trent Baalke introduced Jim Tomsula, may I add my personal observation. I actually attended the press conference and I am very optimistic about Jim and the future of the team. Jim is warm, caring and compassionate and the players love and respect him. There is not a drop if arrogance in him, he is more of a Father and teacher figure to the players and he treats them with respect. He is also a disciplinarian. I see discipline as a good word. When you find someone you love, you dont let them go.You nurture him and support him in his and our quest for success. Jims philosophy in life is about people. Its all about people. We love and appreciate people who earn he says. And thats the game of football he adds. Its a team sport. The teams dynamic is hard and challenging, but it also should be fan. From my personal experience: Learning and inspired by a legendary hotelier who was the president of the 5-star luxury hotels company where I worked for 22 years as an executive, I compare his philosophy of 5 Ps success to Jim Tomsulas: People + Praise + Passion + Planning = Profit (in hotel business) and = Playoffs in the football business. And then we hope for the Superbowl Trophy. I am truly encouraged and wish Jim and his SF 49ers Team best wishes for success in 2015/1016 season. Go Niners!
