EVENTS: It’s the second week of the school summer holidays, but if you are already running out of ideas for things to do with the kids, here’s a few family-friendly events taking place in Gateshead on Tuesday… • Jumping Gyms are a fun activity for parent and child which teaches basic skills of movement and balance. For children 1 – 6 yrs. One hour sessions throughout the day from 10.00 to 15.00. £4.40 (active card price). No booking required, just turn up. • Gateshead Central Library will be hosting Magic Circuits at 11.00am where children aged 7+ years can make amazing electrical greetings cards with a battery, a light bulb and our special pens which you can use to draw real electrical circuits! Cost £2, please pre-book at your local Gateshead library. • There’s Somethins Brewin at Gateshead Old Town Hall every day between 11am - 2pm. Come along and join the Somethin’s Brewin’ Crew for fun activities including: Arts & Crafts, Singing Stories, imaginary play and more. And its free! • Sharpen up your soccer skills ahead of the new season at a fast, furious and fun skills training session at Leam Lane Library. 17.00 – 18.00, to suit children 5 - 11 years. It only costs £1 but you’ll need to book in advance at your local library. • Why not try our Soft Play at Gateshead Leisure Centre between 12.00 – 14.00. Under 6 yrs, £2.50 per child. These are drop in sessions, so just turn up and enjoy! • Test yourself against our inflatable obstacle courses in the pools at Gateshead Leisure Centre and Dunston Leisure Centre from 13.15 - 15.30.
