EXCEPTION TO THE RULE!!! Exceptionalism!!! Do and be what God has called you to be! My FAMINE is over!! What is your famine? Financial, emotional, physical, drought...battling with something for a long time? Jesus mentioned the story of the widow with no food except oil & Naaman who was a valiant soldier who had leprosy in the Old Testament (2 Kings 4 & 5....great true stories you should read!!) as he speaks to the Pharisees and this story angered them. If you were a leper you would have to be put in a colony, separated from others to die. Lepers were UNCLEAN! They would even have to say out loud as they walked the streets UNCLEAN! Thought: We always colonize what we can not cure!! We do it today as well, dont we? Naaman was a man of valor, power, influence in the military but he was a LEPER! It doesnt matter who you are...you can still have something wrong with you and it will influence every area of your life. Naaman was destined to live with the unclean. Back then there was no where to go to cure this...money couldnt change this!! He hid it so no one else could see. Are you trying to you hide your leprosy, whatever that may be for you? Who are you hanging out with (colonizing with) because of your leprosy? Do you feel UNCLEAN even if no one else sees it or perhaps they do and you feel the shame of it? Until Naaman you would have died but.... Naaman is the EXCEPTION TO THE RULE!! He was healed by God!! If youve been cursed with an affliction, family curses, physical disease etc... We can believe that God can change/heal whatever your leprosy is!!! As long as you are with ORDINARY people like you, you will be accepted but when you dare to be exceptional, walk in your calling others may not be there for you. When Jesus brought up the widow and Naaman they got mad and tried to snatched him to throw him over the cliff!! You may have some people who are trying to throw you over the cliff...but Jesus miraculously slipped out of the crowd....perhaps you are in that place that the devil wants to destroy you but with God you can get away from this...deliver you from your LEPROSY and the people who want to destroy you!! An exceptional God deserves our exceptional praise for what He has done or will do in your life! If you are an ordinary person you will feel out of place with exceptional people but you dont have to stay that way! It takes courage to be exceptional... To tell the devil...not me, not my family! What and who are you bowing to? The devil or God? Live and declare the works of God for you today and I will too OK? I need to do this as well..... (Truths from a teaching I heard)
