EXERCISE CATALONIAN COLDSTREAMER 2 Match day 2 The team departed for an afternoon of site seeing in barcelona dropping off at the Hard Rock Cafe and las ramblas. After a few hours of playing tourist we boarded the team coach and headed to our next fixture. Palau Solita I Plegmans. New team selected, tactics delivered it was now up to the lads to get a result. Both teams once again lead out onto the pitch by the referee. Line ups completed and hand shake done the ref blew his whistle and we were off. The game was played in a very fair but competitive way with the Bn team edging it 1-0 from an outstanding free kick from LCpl Tom Carlin. The second half was nervy, our opponents trying every move to bring things level, LCpl Matty Aston in goal made sure we maintained our lead pulling of a wonder save In the 80th minute. Two late goals sealed a very good victory from coldstream guards FC, 86 minute 40 yard shot from Cfm Keeler and a cross delivered into the box by LCpl John Pontone was converted by Dmr Walkeden. 3 nil final score.
