EXHIBIT OF THE WEEK: This propeller had been languishing in a North Jersey garage for many years. At the time the museum took possession of the artifact the owner stated it was from a B-36 bomber. Later analysis of serial numbers proved it was actually used on a large U.S. Navy ZPG-2N patrol blimp that was based at Lakehurst Naval Air Station during the 1950s. After completion of a restoration in 2013 the prop was installed in our Great Room Lighter than Air exhibit. Photo by Ralph Villecca
