EXISTANCE OF THE GOD AND STEPHEN HAWKINGS (Written by: Ramendra Nath Biswas) Stephen Hawking concludes that existence of everything depends on time and the Big Bang was the starting point of time; and during millions of subsequent years everything came in to existence. This concept is substantiated by modern observations of Planck mission with the map prepared by them. However, if there was nothing before Big Bang, then the problem arises to disclose the source of all matters of present universe. To establish his theory, Stephen Hawking gave an example, during explain the concept of spontaneous universe, and tried to explain that everything can come out of nothing. According to the example, some protons appear for moments at deep in to a cup of tea and disappear but appears again on some other place. I think this example does not provide enough logic for concluding that something can come out from nothing. We are not sure about the identity of the proton appeared at deep into the cup and do not know whether the same proton appeared at different position at different time or different proton appeared at different position at different time. Further, we are not sure about the fate of the proton appeared in the tea cup and cannot assure that the proton actually disappeared permanently after its appearance for a short moment. As we do not know the source of coming from and the place where they go after a short appearance, thus, we should not conclude that they came from nothing and vanished permanently. Existence or non-existence of a thing does not depend on our observation or knowledge. Thus, from the example, we can gauge that those protons remained in undetectable condition at somewhere else before they appeared in the deep of the tea cup and went back to same condition after its short time appearance but appeared again in second time at some other place of the cup. During another lecture Stephen Hawking explained the origin of matters with an example of conversion of antimatter in to matter. In his example one man was digging a weal; in the example the man was not only digging the weal but also building a hill simultaneously. By pouring all mud again in to the weal the hill and the weal will be neutralized. Similarly antimatters, which were already existed in the universe, were transformed in to matter and neutralized. He presumed that at present no antimatters are left over for transformation, and even if there is any antimatter exists that could not be detected. I think there are two problems in the example given by Stephen hawking. The concept of antimatter contradicts the concept of singularity condition or pin head condition of the universe but substantiate the concept of super massive Black Hole condition; because there is a chance to remain matter or antimatter at far outside of the event horizon of the Black Hole and that may get converted in to visible universe after Big Bang. If the theory is proved to be correct then we may presume that those antimatters were the residue of earlier universe when that becomes a super massive Black Hole at the end of contraction process. However, CERN confirms that they have a plant to produce antimatter from matter, but they do not have any knowledge about the antimatter converting in to matter. But lay man like me will ask many questions on this conclusion of Black Hole and Big Bang. We need to explain many questions like what is Black Hole, where from Black Hole comes and where it goes? First question was what is Black Hole? Modern Physicists believe “A black hole is a region of space whose gravitational force is so strong that nothing can escape from it. A black hole is invisible because it even traps light. The fundamental descriptions of black holes are based on equations in the theory of general relativity developed by the German-born physicist Albert Einstein” (NASA). In this definition, Black Hole is a region of space, whose gravitational force can trap even light and the region become black or invisible; thus, it is possible to be trillions of similar regions in the enormous space and that may be termed as Black Hole. Astronomer’s answer to the question is yes; there may be millions of Black Holes in any galaxy and the universe may hold trillions of Black Holes with different mass. Modern astronomers believe that at least one super massive Black Hole exists in the center of each galaxy and there may be a similar one in the galactic center of our Milky Way itself. However, there is no impairment to accept the concept of single Black Hole in the space at the beginning, as we are in search of a singularity point where the spectacular event of Big Bang occurred and we get this universe. The theory of single Black Hole or the pin head universe recognize the contents of verses of Vedas where it is stated that when there was neither matter nor antimatter, there was only darkness, nor even day and night, but there was only the God with His blessings (Setaswator Upanisada 4:18 ). Second question is where from Black Hole comes? The modern science explains that “a black hole can form when a massive star runs out of nuclear fuel and is crushed by its own gravitational force. While a star burns fuel, it creates an outward push that counters the inward pull of gravity. When no fuel remains, the star can no longer support its own weight. As a result, the core of the star collapses. If the mass of the core is three or more solar masses, the core collapses into a singularity in a fraction of a second”. From this scientific explanation it is clear that the Black Hole is singularity condition, after a star collapses, with infinite gravitational pull. For becoming a Black Hole the mass of the star should not be less than three times mass of our sun and mass of a super massive Black Hole may be one million to 100 million mass of our sun. However, if a star can collapse in to a singularity then the entire universe can also collapse after complete contraction and remains in a singularity condition. As a massive sun is the origin of a Black Hole, we can conclude that the earlier universe was the origin of the pin head universe or the super massive Black Hole which caused the spectacular event Big Bang and revealed in to present universe. Such contraction and explosion are continuous process in the nature. Thus, the so called Big Bang and this universe was not the first one which appeared from nothing but it could be assessed that this process of creation and again back to origin through the process of expansion and contraction respectively is ever continued and has no beginning or end which neither depend on time nor could be measured by time. There may be trillions of Black Holes in the Universe but no Black Hole can hold materials for an infinite time and ultimately that ejects gases in to the space initiating the process of formation of new stars. The NASA, with the help of their powerful observatories and telescopes, observed such event of jet ejection from Black Hole which may stretch even up to millions of miles and formation of new stars in different regions of the cosmos. Thus, ejection or Bang in a particular Black Hole can generate changes in its neighboring regions and initiate further cause and effect which may end at the formation of new solar system or even galaxy. It is very interesting to observe that the invisible possibilities of formation of a new galaxy and life on an earth like planate of that galaxy were there in the Black Hole itself. There is no hitch to admit that at the foundation of the present universe similar incident took place in an infinite manner, as the Black Hole was with infinite mass and with infinite possibilities of creation. Because the super massive Black Hole, that was the cause of present universe, was the singularity state of earlier universe in conjunction with all potentials and knowledge. Therefore, respectfully and basically we can disagree with the advice of Stephen Hawking to stop thinking beyond the Big Bang, that he suggested in an TV show with Carl Sagan and Arthur C Clerk. Stephen Hawking acknowledged the theory of Albert Einstein on relation of time and space where light and time is the same thing. I think the so called time is the imaginary scale of measurement for differentiation of events and that has no constant; this could be acknowledged by understanding the difference between real time and space time. As light cannot escape the gravitational pull of Black Hole, he believes, time also stops because light and time is the same thing. Therefore, he concluded that because of infinite gravitational pull in a Black Hole the time stops and become ‘0’. As time was not in the Black Hole, there should not have been any God or creator. But actually there was no time when there was no time, and existence of time does not depend on its measurement with a mechanism or quantum. We believe, both the space and time is infinite and without any beginning. In his hypothesis, Stephen Hawking linked the God with time and concluded that as there was no time in the Black Hole, there was no God or creator to create the Universe. He understood those two as one and same, but in the true logic this was the elementary inaccuracy for his wrong notion and such un-scientific conclusion. With some simplest examples we can understand the need of an initiator or creator for any transformation or change in the nature. To have a cup of tea we have ingredients in our kitchen but tea is not made automatically and we need a person to synchronize the mixing of those ingredients to transform in to tea. Not only that, we have atom bomb in our arsenal and that has power to make a havoc in the area of blast, but that is not creating any destruction as long the bomb is not triggered by a person or the fuze is activated due to some other reason like manual intervention, mechanical intervention or electrical intervention. Acid has quality and potentiality to transform it in to explosives but that need many process and those processes are synchronized by man and machine. Thus, we can conclude that every possibility remains in the nature or matter but for transformation that need something to initiate the process and that force may be termed as the God. The time may be stopped and became ‘0’ in the Black Hole before the creation activities started, i.e. the spectacular event of Big Bang, but creator was not asleep as He has nothing to do with the time and the God does not care about our mathematical difficulties. He integrates empirically(Albert Einstein ).
