EXPRESS JOB DESCRIPTION BATCHING PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE General Description of Job: The Production Associate is responsible for assisting the Production Associate in batch formulations of all blended materials made for production. This includes following all SOP’s and GMP’s, double sign offs, and filling out all documentation correctly, including cleaning logs. In addition, the Production Associate will be teamed with new employee trainees and will partner with the CSO on validation batches for product development. This position will train to act as back up for scheduling and batch record documentation for the Production Manager. Job Functions: • Assure compliance of all EXPRESS policies and procedures. • Develop personal skills with all tools available. • Promote and maintain a safe working environment. • Interact with your Production Manager, CSO and Director of Regulatory Affairs. • Responsible for rotating and inventorying all supplies and chemicals needed for their area, and to let purchasing know of their needs in a timely manner. • Accuracy in documentation as it relates to inventory control • Mastery of SOP training • Accuracy to GMP guidelines for label documentation and weights and measurements • Computational and conversion accuracy • Ability to read and follow batching formulas with 100% accuracy • Able to perform sampling and documentation of manufactured bulk. • Able to transfer bulk materials into holding vessels. • Able to compound bulk materials utilizing blending methods. • This position is responsible, along with the Manufacturing Team Leader, for cleaning the manufacturing blending rooms, all tanks and utensils used in the manufacturing process. • Model all Company policies and procedures with a positive attitude for team and self development. • Perform all other duties deemed necessary by EXPRESS management. College Chemistry coursework is preferred. Math and decision-making skills are essential requirements for this job. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, and Geometry are the math skills most often used. Mechanical Skills, experience with driving a forklift, and crown certification are required. Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. These levels are not damaging, but can be uncomfortable. The company makes earplugs available. Occasionally the job involves working around machinery with exposed moving parts, which can pose a mechanical hazard if proper operating procedures are not followed. In a typical workday the job may involve working around fumes, dust, and chemical hazards. If a duty requires actual contact with any product, Material Safety Data Sheet information provides instruction about protective equipment that must be worn.
