ITEM DETAILS • I created the top part of the pendant using a gorgeous 15mm round handcrafted glass art bead by Beads and Botanicals called Wedding Cake. It has glossy pastel white encased in crystal for depth and ultra glossiness with fine Italian silver droplets around the middle. • I caged the bead in six wire coils between two bead caps. • I created the bottom part of the pendant using a 1½ unusual and very pretty three-pointed teardrop shaped acrylic crystal cut prism in sparkling Clear. • I used silver filled wire to build this pendant. • I gave the wire a dark black patina and then hand buffed it to a glittering shine. ABOUT SILVER FILLED WIRE This wire has 10% silver around a red brass alloy core (most only have 5%). Silver filled wire (unlike silver-plated wire) can be use just like sterling silver, and is even non-allergenic like sterling silver. If youre typically allergic to plated jewelry, then silver filled wire is ideal for you.
